“Straightforward setup and ease of database access made for a very rapid transition from the old systems to the new. Once the systems were installed, they have allowed us to move data closer to the users, primarily via web interfaces (for access to student records, financial information, departmental budgets, etc.). Now, we don’t send out monthly budget reports, student schedules, student grades, or mid term grades by paper. That saves an incredible amount of time and money, not to mention that it saves a few trees. We now track an incredible amount of information for all sorts of constituencies: inquiries, applicants, students, donors, etc. Maintaining this information keeps us closer to our constituents, allowing us to be more sophisticated in meeting their needs.
