ABT Wins Contract to Provide Web-Enabled Administrative Systems for University of California’s Irvine Extension

Newtown Square, PA  February 14, 2001   – ABT, a leading provider of information systems and services for the business of education, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the University of California – Irvine Extension School (UCI Extension).  According to the terms of the agreement, ABT will lead a joint UCI/ABT project team that will  implement an integrated PowerCAMPUS and IQ.Web system specifically tailored to provide administrative- and student-information services in support of UCI Extension’s continuing education mission.

UCI’s PowerCAMPUS system will include enhanced functionality for sponsor billing and tuition refunds, and its IQ.Web Internet applications system will be expanded to serve the information needs of corporate sponsors, as well as the students, faculty and administrators comprising the institution’s learning community.

Through UCI Extension’s “ACCESS UCI” program, members of the general public can take regular UCI courses without formal admission to the University.
